Trust & Data
Where your data lives, and who controls it
Plain answers to the questions operators, accountants and compliance reviewers ask. No marketing — what happens to each category of data.
Canadian data residency
loTouch runs on Microsoft Azure in Canadian regions. Operator data, customer records, schedules, visit documentation and billing records are stored in Canada.
Backups follow the same residency. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
PIPEDA posture
loTouch is built to align with PIPEDA principles: data is collected for the purpose the operator defines, access is limited to the people who need it for their role, and records are retained under the operator's control.
For verticals handling client or patient data — home care, mobile healthcare, inspections — access scoping means a provider sees only the clients in their care, and every access path ends when staff are offboarded. We do not claim certifications we do not hold; this page describes practice, not a seal.
Payment handling
Card data is handled by the payment processor, not stored on loTouch. loTouch holds tokens and transaction records — amounts, dates, statuses — never card numbers.
Card-on-file charging, refunds and payouts run through the processor's vault and its compliance scope.
GPS & visit data
GPS-stamped visit records — arrival and completion times, photos, readings, notes — are owned by the operator. They exist to prove service delivery: to a customer, an insurer, an auditor or a regulator.
Provider location is recorded in the context of assigned work, not as continuous surveillance. Visit records are timestamped and exportable.
QuickBooks sync
Invoices, payments and payroll records sync to QuickBooks. Your accountant keeps their system; loTouch feeds it.
The sync is one source of truth flowing outward — your books are never locked inside loTouch.
Cancellation & export
Your data stays exportable — customers, schedules, visit histories, financial records — in standard formats, during the engagement and at the end of it.
If you leave loTouch, you leave with your data. That is the arrangement from day one.
